Group Exercise classes are back!
Ready, Steady, Let’s Go!
Following the easing of restrictions for gyms in the ACT, we are excited to announce that we have restarted our Southern Cross Health Club group fitness classes, at a limited capacity with some restrictions.
See below for all the important information about our group ex schedule.

The vast majority of your favourite classes will return including AeroMix, Absolution, Activ, Body Balance, Body Dynamics, Flexibility, Loaded, Meditation, Mania, Pilates, Rockbottom, Tai Chi, Tone & Flex, Yoga and Zumba.
Due to the close partner work of our boxing-based classes, Boxfit and Punch will not return until a future date.

Saturday 20 June: The Women’s Gym has reopened with some limitations.
Please read the important information below regarding government restrictions and booking your Group Exercise classes.
Direct debits have recommenced for SCHC group fitness members, and will restart for Women’s Gym members from Monday 22 June.
If you would like your membership to stay suspended, please send an email to email@example.com with the subject line ‘Ongoing Suspension Request’ and our team will process that for you.
We have added more of your favourite classes so that extra spots are available under the revised class limits.

To book yourself in for Group Exercise classes, you will need to download the “Pencil In” app to your device. The app is free to use.
Once you have downloaded the app, create a free customer profile. Then “search for a business” and type “Southern Cross Health Club” and this will list our current availability, so you can book for your preferred class.
If you change your mind or can’t attend a class you have booked, you will need to cancel your spot via the Pencil In app so that another member can book the spot.
Members must bring their own water bottle and towel to each class.
We will have mats available for members, but we recommend that you bring your own mat.
Members will be asked by staff to follow social distancing during entry and exit of classes.
By participating in a class. members agree to clean their equipment after use.
With further easing of restrictions, our shower and change room facilities have reopened. Toilets are available.
We will limit the number of members permitted to participate in each class.
All bikes in the cycle studio have been moved 1.5 metres apart, and we have marked specific spots in the Aerobics Studio where members will be asked to set up for class.
Additional staff will be on hand to monitor social distancing and supervise the flow of members into and out of classes.
We are diligently following the cleaning and sanitising guidelines outlined by Safe Work Australia, for cleaning and sanitising the workplace, as well as recommendation by Fitness Australia.
All equipment is cleaned at the end of each class in the time provided.
Sanitising wipes will be provided.
The majority of our fitness classes have remained the same, with more of your favourites added to give everyone a chance to attend.
There is however a change to the length of classes to allow time for the cleaning and sanitisatioin of equipment and rooms between classes.
Our 55 minute classes will now be 45 minutes, with 10 minutes to clean equipment at the end of the class.
Our 45 minute classes will now be 35 minutes with 10 minutes to clean equipment at the end of the class.
Our 30 minute classes will now be 25 minutes with 5 minutes to clean equipment at the end of the class.

Saturday 20 June: The Women’s Gym has reopened with some limitations. There is a maximum of 20 people allowed at one time, and our changerooms remain closed due to ACT Government restrictions, so please arrive ready for your gym session.
Women’s Gym temporary opening hours will be:
Monday to Thursday 6am–8pm, Friday 6am–3pm, Saturday and Sunday 7am–3pm
