Our Future Health Club

The health club of the future for the Canberra of the future

Imagine a brand new health club with everything you need to review, revive, rebalance and recharge.

Everything you need for a healthier, better future—all under one roof.

That’s our vision for a new $15 million health and wellness centre to be developed on the old ‘Pitch and Putt’ site in Phillip, near the Woden Town Centre.

Our Southern Cross Health Club lease at nearby Irving Street is due to expire at the end of 2017.

The proposed centre will not only provide a purpose-built new home for our Health Club, but also a range of other health and wellness services for the local community.

Early plans are for a light and contemporary, multi-storey building to house a 24-hour gym, group fitness classes and personal training, alongside complementary services such as allied health professionals – for example remedial massage and physiotherapy – an early learning childcare centre and a whole foods café.

This is part of growing our business to better meet member needs. It’s about healthier communities and healthier business—it’s the Canberra Southern Cross Club of the future.

Our priority is communicating with, and involving, our members to design Canberra’s best new health and wellness centre.
