If your looking to loose weight then joining the health club is a good start but it depends alot on your diet as well. Try replacing most drinks you have throughout the day with water, this will not only keep you hydrated and help you body's natural ability to detoxify its self but will also help reduce your daily kilojoule intake.

Looking to loose weight? Try changing white breads to wholemeal or wholegrain this will help increase fibre in your diet and help you loose weight. You can also use this with cereals, pasta, and other wheat and flour based products. Increasing fibre is important in helping your body absorb needed nutrients and keep your digestive system healthy and happy.

Weight Loss

The key to weight loss is long consistent training and eating habits. There is no such thing as quick weight loss, it has been found that people who crash diet often put weight back on as its an unsustainable lifestyle. Eating healthy and exercising regularly is all you need to achieve your goals and it is a more manageable way to loose the weight and keep it off. Loosing weight comes down to one key fact energy in vs energy out its that simple, the hard part is we still need food to keep us healthy. There is no right or wrong amount or set standard of food intake it depends on your body, your weight, the type of exercise you do, how regularly you exercise and your lifestyle etc. I get asked allot being a personal trainer how much carbohydrates should I eat or how much protein should I be having? again there is no one answer here but there are some guidelines. Carbohydrates should make up at 40-55% of your daily kilojoule intake and protein should be about 1 gram per kilo of body weight but these are only guidelines. If you are ever unsure about what to eat or how much you should seek professional advice from a nutritionist or dietician.

Weight Loss

Its is very generic that people who want to loose weight think it is best to eat less food, however this is not always the case. Although this is somewhat correct we often do not eat enough food during the day so this slows down our metabolism and can in fact make us put on weight. It is important when looking at loosing weight to maybe change aspects of your diet rather then dropping the amount of food your eating. Look at healthier options, increase daily fibre intake, drink more water, and eat plenty of fruit and vegetables. Eating a sustained healthy diet and combining that with exercise is the best way to loose weight, crash dieting and quick fixes often leave a person feeling low of energy, sick and it is very common that the weight goes back on just as quick as it comes off. So the goal is eat more healthy meals through out the day, snack in between with fruit, yogurt or other healthy substitutes and drink plenty of water.
